Star Trek Secret Lair Superdrop Revealed as Preview Season Wraps Up
Set Phasers to Superdrop lands November 9 with five drops and a sixth to come. We also cover the last Star Trek spoilers, Khan's cEDH Food Chain role and new commander deck techs.

Set Phasers to Superdrop: the basics
Wizards of the Coast announced the Star Trek Secret Lair Superdrop on October 27. It goes on sale November 9, 2026, just ahead of the Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek release [4]. Five drops are known so far, and a sixth will be revealed later [4][5].
Every drop is listed at $29.99 non-foil or $39.99 foil [6]. Wizards also says you get one foil Return of the Wildspeaker with the Transporter Boondoggle name for every $199.99 spent, while supplies last [4].
If you plan to buy, note the queue rules. The pre-queue opens at 8 a.m. PT, an hour before the 9 a.m. PT start. Anyone in the pre-queue gets a random spot in line. Adding items to your cart does not reserve them [4].
What's in the drops
The five drops each have a different theme [5][6]:
- New Worlds: two each of the five basic lands [6].
- Beam Me Up: reversible Eerie Interlude, Momentary Blink, Essence Flux and Conjurer's Closet [6].
- tlhIngan maH: reversible Demand Answers, Relentless Assault, Seething Song, War's Toll and Warstorm Surge, themed around Klingon [5][6].
- KHAAAAAAAAN: Wrath of the Skies, Commandeer, Illusionist's Gambit, Buried Alive, Genesis Wave and Fracture [6].
- Lower Decks: four legendary creatures plus Weatherlight, renamed after the S.S. Cerritos [6].
The Lower Decks creatures are Inti, Seneschal of the Sun, Kambal, Profiteering Mayor, Silas Renn, Seeker Adept and Thrasios, Triton Hero, each with a Lower Decks character name [6].
The final Star Trek spoilers
MTGGoldfish's daily spoiler posts covered the last stretch of previews. The October 27 post had more main set cards, the full bonus sheet, a complete Commander precon and the Secret Lair batch, plus a sweeper [3]. On October 28 they showed the Klingon precon and a few more rares, including McCoy [2]. The October 29 post covered a Landing Party card, the last couple of mythics and the final Commander precon [1].
The sources give few details beyond those headlines. If you're planning Commander upgrades, the precon lists and the bonus sheet are the places to check.
Khan, Vengeful Heart and Food Chain
EDHREC argues that Khan, Vengeful Heart is the newest piece of the cEDH Food Chain combo [8]. Khan is a 5/3 Human Warrior that can be cast from exile. That makes it another infinite mana source for Food Chain, much like Squee, the Immortal, Misthollow Griffin and Eternal Scourge [8].
Khan also has an enters trigger. You may sacrifice another creature or artifact, and if you do, you draw two cards [8].
The article says the combo has been hard to fit into decks because Food Chain's mana only pays for creature spells. It has mostly been played alongside Etali, Primal Conqueror [8]. For casual tables this is mostly a heads-up about what competitive pods may start doing.

Deck techs for Star Trek commanders
EDHREC's deck techs show what the new legends can do:
- Borg Queen, Perfection Manifest is a mono-black commander from the Star Trek Commander products. Her first ability gives artifact creatures you control +2/+0 [7]. There is also a separate Esper Borg Queen, called The Borg Queen [7].
- Seven of Nine draws you a card whenever you choose a mode for a spell or ability. The linked list is a Dimir draw-go build of modal spells that costs about $45 [9].
- Codie, Ravenous Codex is from Reality Fracture, not Star Trek. It is a $150 five-color deck that copies prepared spells [10].

Commander corner
Star Trek previews are done, and the Secret Lair Superdrop gives Commander players several alternate-treatment cards to consider on November 9. Check the queue rules first, since the pre-queue opens at 8 a.m. PT. In cEDH, Khan, Vengeful Heart may change how Food Chain gets built. Casual brewers can look at Seven of Nine, with a list of about $45, or at the mono-black Borg Queen, Perfection Manifest.
